The 2008 Annual Powell River Studio Tour, (free to the public) featured 33 local artists in 28 locations.
Visitors were able to experience the diversity & excellence of the art community in the Powell River region, along with the spectacular natural beauty of Canada's Sunshine Coast. The annual tour is self-guided with a printed, free brochure available at local stores or the maps and artist list on this website. Both the website and brochure include information on each artist or gallery participating in the tour. Powell River had its first area-wide studio tour in August, 2004. Organized by Alfred Muma, a well-known local artist, the Tour included 28 locations representing over 40 artists. With an estimated 244 people taking the Tour, it was deemed a success and the decision was made to make it an annual event.
